By 1996, the Company came across the
idea of making grow bags and perfected the technique
of grow bag making. The company had initial customer
at France, which later expanded to Switzerland and Spain.
Since Coir pith has a unique granular structure with
high water holding capacity, it has been found to
be more useful than peat moss and rock wool. Within
two years of its introductions in the French market
it almost took over 50% share of Rock wool grow bag
market in France. Green house farmers found it difficult
and expensive to dispose off the used Rock wool grow
bags, as it is not biodegradable. Since Coir pith
is Biodegradable it is used in crop fields to improve
the soil texture. |
